I think my fair and balanced-ness masks that I have said he's not a good coach for the past 3 years. That said, we're 22-14, so I'm trying to give a little credit to everyone - players, coaches, and even management while still being critical of what deserves criticism.

So, going forward - I never am going to think that our coach is a difference maker for us. Know that. :)

Yes you're right, but like you said in different words, the coach has to get them ready to play. How many times after losses do we have to hear Woody say "we just weren't ready to play tonight"? Over an 82 game season you aren't going to always be hyped up and/or motivated. It's no different than how I am at my job, but if you're a good leader you will find a way to get the best our of your team. I'm not convinced Woody is capable of that.

I'd normally agree, but I have played sports and thought that my coach maybe wasn't the best guy for the job, BUT I do know that as a player - there's no way I was going to be embarrassed without letting everyone know that it was unacceptable and then going out and doing everything possible to ensure that that didn't happen again.

So, the effort in the 2nd game against Orlando AND THEN against the Sixers is more a player problem than Coach Woodson's. They already know Coach Woodson won't be working the motivational speech circuit after he's fired one day, so to not come out at home and completely annihilate the taste from the Orlando with effort is mystifying.

That's not to be confused with winning. We didn't have to win to make me feel like we got the point. We didn't beat the Celtics, but I felt like they left their guts on the court. Same for most of the 14 losses, but these last 3-4 losses - I'm looking at the Hawks circa 2005-06 when I REALLY thought Mike Woodson should be fired. If you lose b/c of talent, ok. If you lose b/c you aren't playing hard, Problema!!!!
